How we go about it

Knowledge, not belief.

In one engagement, management put stock inaccuracy at around 10% while a member of the warehouse team put it at 40%. Neither figure could be measured. Every project I run starts by replacing opinion with evidence, and ends when the improvement is running without me.

Four stages, in order

Each stage creates the conditions the next one needs. You can stop after any of them, and many clients start with a diagnostic and use the findings to drive improvement themselves.

StagePurposeWhat happensTypical length
1 DiagnoseKnow the truthI walk every aisle, count the stock, analyse your data and talk to the people doing the work. You get a plain-language picture of what is working, what is not, and what it is worth.Days to weeks
2 StabiliseStop the bleedingI fix the root causes that are costing you most: receipt errors, safety risks, unclear procedures. Written risk assessments and SOPs go in, co-written with your team.Weeks
3 SystemiseBuild the machineI build the lasting foundations: location coding, slotting, cycle counting, and WMS selection and implementation where it is right for you.Months
4 SustainKeep it runningKPIs, visual management and regular reviews keep the gains in place and your team in control.Ongoing

How I work

On the floor, not in a meeting room

I talk to the operatives before I talk to the director. You can only read a warehouse if you have stood on one.

Without stopping your operation

I work around your day. I never shut down a pick face to measure it.

With your team, not at them

The people on the floor know things managers do not. Procedures are written with them, so they get used.

In plain language

No report that needs a consultant to interpret. Every finding is stated plainly and every recommendation comes with its reason.

Until it holds

I do not leave when the report is written. I leave when the improvement is running and your team can maintain it.

What I ask of you

  • Access to the floor and the team
  • Half a day of your operations lead's time across the visit
  • A short list of data extracts, sent in advance
  • An NDA if you need one. Everything I see is treated as confidential, and I work under your site's safety rules and induction.

Pricing, without surprises

Diagnostic and stabilisation work is a fixed fee agreed before I start. Larger projects are quoted from the scope and timescale. Ongoing support is a fixed monthly retainer. You will always know the cost up front.
